Admission Guidelines

Age criteria, documents, policies, and everything else you need to know.

Please carry original documents along with self-attested copies for verification at the time of admission.

Age Criteria

The child should have met the criteria below on 31st July of the calendar year in which admission is sought.

Nursery, LKG & UKG

An informal interaction with the child is conducted to understand the child's school readiness, developmental milestones, and special needs, if any.

Grade 1 Onwards

To assess where the child stands on the learning continuum and to understand their competencies in various learning domains, there will be a written assessment.

CBSE Clause — Class X Admission

For candidates seeking Class X admission from another district, the following are required:

  • Application for admission to be granted.

  • Progress report of the qualifying Class IX (as applicable) of the child and their CBSE Registration Number.

  • Copy of transfer orders of parents, or an original affidavit as proof of actual shifting of family/house from one place to another with valid reasons.

  • Declaration by the Head of the Institution in the prescribed format already sent by the CBSE office.

Documents Required at the Time of Admission

  • Photocopy of Birth Certificate issued by the Municipal Corporation or Registrar of Birth.

  • Photocopy of either the Passport, Aadhaar Card, or Voter I-Card as proof of residence. Originals are required for verification.

The School Does Not Accept Donations for Admission

Please be aware of third parties making false claims of procuring admission and collecting money on behalf of the school. The school will not be responsible for any such transaction. Please inform the school authorities if you come across such parties so that appropriate action can be taken.

Keep Your Records Updated

Please ensure the school office is informed of any changes in your communication address, phone number, email ID, or other relevant information, so records stay current and you don't miss important communication.

Rights of Admission

The Management of the school reserves all rights of admission or rejection and is not bound to give reasons for the admission or rejection of any candidate.

Academic Session

The school's academic session commences in April every year.

Parent Orientation

An Orientation Program for parents is conducted in the last week of March. Communication regarding the same is sent in advance through the appropriate medium.

Procedure for Fee Payment

  • Please pay the admission fee before the due date to secure your ward's admission after result declaration. Admission cannot be guaranteed if the admission fee is not paid by the due date. This is a one-time payment.
  • Quarterly fee is charged in the months of April, July, October, and January respectively.
  • For bus goers, the transport fee is charged along with the quarterly fee.
  • Fee is payable by A/C payee cheque, credit card, online payment, or demand draft / pay order in favour of Khaitan World School.
  • The name of your ward, class, and admission number should be written on the back of the cheque / demand draft / pay order.
  • Any fee paid to the school is non-refundable.

Rules & Regulations for Transfer Certificate

  1. 1The Transfer Certificate has to be applied for at the school through a physical form or by email. At least one month's notice should be given for the withdrawal of a student, or one month's fee should be deposited in lieu of the notice period.
  2. 2The application for the Transfer Certificate should be signed by the father/mother/legal guardian who signed the Admission Form at the time of admission of the concerned student. All dues must be cleared before a Transfer Certificate is issued. No Transfer Certificate will be issued where a student is withdrawn without prior notice.
  3. 3A written application addressed to the Principal should be submitted by the parents for the withdrawal of a student from the school. No cognisance will be given to verbal intimations, email notifications, or information shared with the class teacher or any coordinator in the course of a meeting.
  4. 4The processing of the school-leaving form takes a minimum of 15 working days from the date of application.
  5. 5Students who leave the school in April/May must pay the fee for the full quarter.
  6. 6Students can be asked to leave the school on the following grounds: (a) gross misconduct / indiscipline / non-payment of fee; (b) consistent failure to pay the fee before due dates despite reminders; (c) absence without leave, or unexplained absence, for more than 15 consecutive days.

Note: The Principal's decision will be final in all cases of withdrawal or striking off the name of a student.
